Twelve (12) months contract at R6, 150.00 per month

Overview

The Intern: Budgets, Compliance and RPPF will contribute towards the efficient co-ordination of Travel Compliance in the Organization. The Intern reports to the Assistant Manager: Payroll Compliance Verification and Project Charter Systems Administration.

Responsibilities/Duties

Key performance areas:  Assist the section staff with their duties on travel compliance (myCosmos) whilst undertaking daily activities to learn about the basics of the departmental portfolio, i.e. Compliance checking of travel, responding to queries, maintenance of Projects & WBS elements, reporting on statistics on monthly work undertaken, and training of staff on myCosmos. Assist with various administrative duties within the Department that will include filing and photocopying.

Assist with selected duties so as to obtain exposure to electoral operations and financial management matters, etc.

Requirements

The successful candidate for this position must have completed Matric / N3 and a tertiary qualification in Financial Management or related field.  The candidate must possess report writing and good communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills. The person must be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel. Applicants should have the following attributes: ability to work under pressure; be prepared to work long hours; pro-active; decisive; confident and be service driven.
